This Environmental Branding project for The Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry encompasses over 38,000 Square Meters across two buildings in the nations capital, Canberra. It required a complete brand experience that would represent the department appropriately to all staff, suppliers, visitors and clients.

Working with Reid Campbell, a branded environment was created to reflect the Departments role across Australias geographic regions. This formed the basis of the way-finding system and dissection of both buildings theming 'The Environment in Context'.

Glass and stainless steel structures feature these mono-chromatic super graphics to form the centrepiece for each theme. These connect two floors at a time throughout the Marcus Clarke building building up to the top three floors Desert super graphic.

Time-lapse graphics reflect the plight of the individuals who work in in each of the industries represented by the Department.  A day spent living and working the land pays homage to the lives of the people who have built Australia’s agricultural industry into what it is today. The rising and setting sun in the background creates not only a strong visual link between each floor, but also reflects the ties which bind us all to our environment and to these essential industries.

Floor to ceiling iconic Australian images span entire walls, emphasising the values of the Department to those who pass through. These same images were also sectioned and applied to the glass beside each meeting room and office door utilising a special type of film that allows optically clear visibility of any occupancy. This provides an effective level of privacy for the occupants while delivering further reflection of the theme.

Way-finding displays orientate and introduce you into each lift lobby while communicating the story behind the graphics putting them into context. Each section is individually updateable as groups expand, contract and move to the requirements of the Departments commitments to the public.
