We believe that wayfinding is an integral part of the built environment and a great opportunity to contribute to the overall experience, rather than a mere functional requirement. Whilst the primary role of wayfinding signage should be obvious, by ensuring the graphics complement the design intent of the space, it will maximise efficiency and ensure a more pleasurable experience.
BrandCulture wayfinding solutions are underpinned by a carefully mapped project plan, extensive research, and a scientific approach. Utilising circulatory navigation makes any decision point work better, and it is this approach and understanding of how to gain the optimum recognition of information that forms the foundation of our solutions.
We work closely with our project partners and stakeholders to ensure a design solution that not only addresses the building requirements and visitor pain points, but also enhances the overall design vision, colour scheme and materials of the architects and interior designers.

WHAT IS COGNITIVE MAPPING?
Cognitive mapping relates to the process by which individuals store, access and process geographical information from the enthorial cortex. Put more simply, cognitive mapping is the way we store information and visualise it in our 'minds eye'. This can take the form of colours or symbols that we learn to associate with certain routes or areas, the more distinct this information is the less cognitive load we carry, and the quicker we familiarise ourselves and navigate in new surroundings, ultimately being able to subconsciously navigate from one point to the next.
By ensuring we are completely familiar with a building, understand the navigation requirements, decision points and potential visitor issues, we are able to translate this process into a clear, design based solution specific to each project.
